Shipping coordinator - M-Thurs 5:59am-4:30pm, some Friday and Saturdays are required.

Position Summary
The Shipping Coordinator plays a vital role in daily logistics, documentation, warehouse coordination, and carrier communication. This position ensures smooth shipping operations, timely order processing, and proactive support across departments.
Primary Responsibilities
Daily Operations
	- Update the lot checklist each morning for shipping and trailer needs
 
	- Empty the manifest drop box twice per week
 
	- Midday trailer count confirmation 
 
	- Build and palletize Lowe’s orders
 
	- Process and ship past-due orders
 
	- Floor-load trailers and confirm outbound shipment
 
	- Reprint and email Bills of Lading (BOLs) to carriers as needed
 
	- Create and send manual BOLs, ensuring copies are saved appropriately
 
	- Print BOLs and shipping labels when required
 
Carrier & Driver Coordination
	- Send daily carrier notification emails for drop trailer and live load requirements
 
	- Escort drivers to dock doors when needed
 
	- Check in arriving drivers/trucks
 
	- Direct special order packaging and trailer assignment
 
Communication & Support
	- Update and send weather/embargo notification list
 
	- Provide customer service via email, calls, and internal messaging board
 
	- Contact carrier account reps for shipment escalations
 
	- Share daily end-of-day report with Director of Operations
 
	- Respond to team requests for updates and shipping assistance
 
Quality & Audit Checks
	- Monitor audit screen for flagged “do not ship” orders
 
	- Perform quality checks on FLOK orders
 
	- Check in Palm Beach countertops
 
	- Follow up on floor orders holding up outbound loading
 
Warehouse Receiving Support
	- Assist when receiving team is understaffed or during overtime
 
	- Receive materials and create traveler documentation post quality checks
 
	- Verify material quality prior to warehouse storage
 
Equipment & Scheduling
	- Coordinate pallet truck orders twice weekly with Shipping Lead; notify Purchasing Manager.
